  • New 350kW high power charger for highways and charging service providers unveiled
  • Delta chargers utilised in recent Hobart Airport and Westmead Children’s Hospital on-site EV charging upgrades
Sydney, 26th August – Delta Electronics Australia (Delta) is currently enjoying a period of tremendous growth in Australia, as the leading technology provider continues to support the APAC region’s transition towards more sustainable tech solutions.
Not only is Delta a trusted partner with key public infrastructure projects, but the Australian subsidiary of the global tech giant is also making moves to bolster its own product and service offerings in Australia; deepening industry partnerships and unveiling yet another hugely important piece of charging technology.
Recently Delta EV charging stations were selected for several high-profile infrastructure projects, including Hobart Airport where two of its 100kW City Charger units were fitted, and Westmead Children’s Hospital, which implemented an entire solar-backed charging solution with 75 Delta AC chargers for hospital staff as part of the hospital’s sustainability efforts.
Off the back of these recent public-facing infrastructure projects (and with more to come), Delta has also unveiled an innovation tailored for the Australian market: the High Power Charger 350kW. This cutting-edge DC charger sets new standards in fast-charging technology, promising EV owners unprecedented convenience and efficiency.
Designed to meet the robust demands of Australian & New Zealand highways and cityscapes, the High Power Charger 350kW boasts a liquid cooling system and delivers an industry-leading 540A output, enabling charging speeds up to 350kW. In just 10 minutes, drivers can add 250 to 300 km of range, making it ideal for long-distance travel and enhancing charger turnover at highway rest stops, urban charging hubs such as carparks and service stations as well as fleet business back-to-base operations.
Tom Hew, Delta Australia Country Manager, was pleased to see Delta taking an active role in Australia’s transformation.
"Delta's commitment to advancing sustainable transportation is no-better epitomised in our High Power Charger 350kW,” Mr. Hew said.
“This charger not only accelerates charging speeds but also optimises operational efficiency with its compact footprint and high energy conversion rate of up to 96.5%, driving Australia's sustainability journey forward," he continued.
Key features of the Delta High Power Charger 350kW include:

  • Efficient Performance: Utilises Delta's advanced power modules to maximize efficiency and minimize installation space, ensuring minimal impact on parking planning
  • Enhanced User Experience: Equipped with a 15-inch touchscreen, IP55/NEMA 3R protection, and IK10 protection, the charger offers a user-friendly interface and robust safety features for reliable, intuitive charging experiences
  • Operational Excellence: Supports Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) and network connectivity for seamless integration with payment and backend systems, enabling real-time monitoring and efficient maintenance. The chargers are suitable for third party providers and are security certificated by the Open Charge Alliance, giving our users peace of mind.
